=About The Artist=

Michael J Maione

Born and raised in New Jersey, USA, Michael has always possessed a deep-seated creative drive. While artistic expression has long been a personal passion, the launch of his private studio, Maione Fine Art, marks an exciting new chapter that has been unfolding since 2025.Michael’s approach to visual art is refreshingly intuitive. As a completely self-taught artist, his techniques are not bound by traditional academic rules but are instead guided by an innate, instinctual understanding of color and composition.

Michael J Maione

Michael J Maione’s work is centered primarily on vibrant acrylic painting on canvas. Driven by a relentless desire to explore, he enjoys painting across a variety of distinct styles, creating vivid landscapes, expressive impressionist works, and bold abstract pieces.Fueled by the fast-paced, dynamic energy of living with ADHD, Michael approaches his art with a deeply experimental and highly creative mindset. He thrives on originality, constantly pushing boundaries and testing new techniques rather than strictly adhering to convention. His canvases are characterized by confident, right-handed brushwork and a saturated color palette that commands attention. As a completely self-taught visual artist, Michael's creative journey is rooted in real-world experience rather than formal academia. He views this "life training" as his greatest asset, allowing him to approach the canvas with uninhibited freedom and raw authenticity.

Michael J Maione

For Michael, art is fundamentally a mode of connection. He loves talking with others about his art and his creative philosophy, using his unconventional path to inspire fellow creators. He is especially dedicated to motivating the younger generation, demonstrating that passion, originality, and a willingness to experiment are just as valuable as traditional instruction. His dynamic work and dedication to fostering creativity have quickly garnered local recognition. Recently featured in a publication for the Monroe Marvels, he was also invited to lead an art class at Applegarth School, allowing him to share his intuitive process and hands-on life lessons with the next generation of artists.

Michael J Maione

While his visual art is a distinct, original pursuit, Michael’s creative energy also thrives in the audio world. Drawing on his past experience as a Disc Jockey and entertainer, his diverse background includes sound engineering and podcasting. He is also a passionate musician who loves performing and is always eager to master a new sound, whether he is playing the guitar, singing, keeping the beat on the drums, or playing the blues harp.

Michael J Maione

Michael J Maione invites you to explore his growing gallery and discover the vibrant world of Maione Fine Art as this new journey unfolds.

=Inspiring Young Minds - Monroe Township, NJ=

Applegarth School Pic 1

There is nothing quite like the unbridled creativity of young minds. In May 2026, I had the absolute privilege of visiting Applegarth School in Monroe Township, NJ to lead an art class and share my creative process with the students. We explored the rhythm and movement of painting, breaking down how a blank canvas transforms into a vibrant landscape.Seeing the students dive into the medium, experimenting with color and exploring their own artistic voices, was an incredibly rewarding experience. It is always an honor to step out of the studio and help foster the next generation of visual artists in our community.
